Build Your Startup From Day One

You know how most people talk about starting a business someday? We actually help you do it. Our program isn't about theory or watching from the sidelines.

Starting in June 2026, we're running cohorts where you build a real startup while learning the finance fundamentals that actually matter. Not textbook stuff that sounds good but doesn't work. Real money decisions, real pitch decks, real conversations with potential investors.

We've worked with founders who thought they needed perfect business plans. They didn't. They needed to understand their numbers and talk to customers. That's what we focus on.

What You'll Actually Learn

We cover the financial foundations that make or break early-stage startups. Everything here comes from watching companies succeed and fail based on how they handled their money.

Financial Models That Work

Build projections that help you make decisions, not just impress people. Learn what numbers actually tell you about your business health.

  • Revenue forecasting without guessing
  • Cost structure mapping
  • Cash flow tracking systems
  • Unit economics breakdowns

Funding Your First Year

Whether you're bootstrapping or raising capital, you need to know how much runway you have and when you'll need more.

  • Calculating realistic burn rates
  • Investor pitch preparation
  • Alternative funding sources
  • Equity and dilution basics

Pricing and Market Position

Setting prices isn't about copying competitors. It's about understanding what value you create and how customers think about spending.

  • Value-based pricing strategies
  • Market research methods
  • Testing price points early
  • Adjusting as you learn

Financial Operations Setup

Get your systems right from the start. Fixing messy finances later costs time and money you don't have.

  • Accounting software selection
  • Banking and payment processing
  • Tax structure decisions
  • Record keeping that scales

Metrics That Matter

Track the numbers that show whether your startup is working. Ignore vanity metrics that look good but mean nothing.

  • Customer acquisition costs
  • Lifetime value calculations
  • Churn and retention rates
  • Growth indicators

Real Startup Scenarios

We throw problems at you that actual founders face. Running out of cash. Losing a major customer. Deciding whether to hire.

  • Crisis decision making
  • Pivot evaluations
  • Resource allocation trade-offs
  • Growth vs. profitability timing

Learn From People Who've Done It

Choose How You Build

Everyone starts a business for different reasons and with different resources. We offer three program tracks because what works for someone with savings and an idea differs from what works for someone already earning revenue.

All tracks cover core financial fundamentals. The difference is in pacing, support structure, and how much time you have to apply what you're learning.

Intensive Foundation Track

Eight weeks, full-time commitment. You're ready to dive in completely and want to make serious progress quickly. Includes daily sessions with mentors and cohort members working through real startup challenges together.

Part-Time Builder Track

Sixteen weeks, evenings and weekends. You're working another job or have commitments but want to build your startup properly. Structured so you can keep moving forward without burning out.

Revenue-Stage Accelerator

Twelve weeks for founders already earning revenue who need help scaling. You've proven something works but financial complexity is increasing. Focuses on systems and metrics for sustainable growth.

Next Cohort Starts June 2026

We're opening applications for our winter cohort in a few months. Class sizes stay small because mentorship only works when there's actual time for real conversations.

Application Process

Submit your startup idea and background. We're looking for people who want to build something real, not perfect resumes. You'll have a conversation with someone from our team to see if the program fits what you're trying to do.

Program Location

Based in Perth with sessions at 14 Solomon St, Mosman Park. Some sessions run online for flexibility, but most learning happens when people are in the room together working through problems.

What You'll Need

A startup idea you're serious about, time to commit to the program schedule, and willingness to share your challenges openly. You don't need a finished business plan or technical background.

Program Support

Access to mentors throughout the program, peer feedback from other founders in your cohort, and continued community access after completion. We stay connected with alumni because building startups takes longer than a few weeks.
